Well when I first moved to San Clemente - I remember asking Jeff what the T in T-Street stood for. He informed me it is short for Trafalgar and the reason they call it T-Street is Americans can't say Trafalgar.... mmmmmm... Not too sure about that, but I'll take his word for it. Right?

Anyway what it definitely is - is a great beach to take the kids on their 2nd to last day of summer. We were all packed and ready to go to Disneyland this morning - and much thanks to Kelle McWatt who called just in time to inform us that it was a block out day for our passes - we made a quick diversion to the beach instead. A small time of disappointment was quickly overridden by the thought of a family day at the beach. The girls spent almost the entire day in the surf and stopped only for a PB & J sandwich and the odd snack and some water. We were informed by our smallest (Kayla) that she didn't need to take a nap today... so guess what - we skipped it. We found Hermit Crabs, built sandcastles, played tag and I think Jessica mastered the boogie board - thanks to the loan from the Cameron Mannen. All in all, a fun day in the sun! Look out Disney - here we come tomorrow. McWatt/Smith's wanna come?

There's a new Khalili Baby on the Block

Anne, Komron and Grace are so excited to have new baby Hope Vedra Khalili in their lives. Their sweet little girl was born yesterday August 29th @ 9.15am weighing in at 7lbs 1oz and 19 inches long. She is absolutely adorable and looks like a miniature Grace Kari but with dark hair like her Daddy. Mum is doing extremely well and looking just fabulous!!!!! We can't wait to have you back on Ramona Guys. Jim - shift it up a notch will you?!!!! Congratulations Khalili Family. Welcome to the world little Hopey!! Jessie, Brookie and Kayla can't wait to meet you and give you lots of cuddles.

A special day today with Brookie Kathryn!!!!

Brooke woke up this morning with a fever and a sore throat. We took off to see our favorite Dr Katz and of course he diagnosed a virus... blah blah blah.... so she decided she wanted to spend the day with her mum. I loaded her up on vitamins and a little motrin and we set out on a wee adventure together. We had so much fun. Lunch at Cheesecake Factory - that consisted of Thai Lettuce Wraps and Strawberry Lemonade - then Ice Cream and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake to finish. The highlight of her day would have to have been hanging out at the Mission Viejo Pet Store hugging an eight week old Havanese Puppy for almost an hour. She was in heaven. I tell ya - if that darn puppy hadn't been a pure bred $2000 puppy... we'd have a new baby at home tonight. She wants to go back every day to see him. He was adorable. Lovely nature. Just snuggled her the entire time. Thank god for kids! A true cure for the common virus!

HOMEWARD BOUND! Friday August 15th, 2008

Just got home from our Mum/Daughter girls trip to Vegas for Jessica's 6th Birthday... what a blast!! Jen & Jessica with Traci & Lauren stayed 2 nights at THE Hotel Mandalay Bay. OH the fun we had! We drove out together and arrived Wednesday late afternoon. Ate out fancy at StripSteak for dinner the first night and off we went to Sharks Reef at 10pm. Yes I know - that was a first for me - Jessica was up until 11pm!!! Boy how things have changed. Woke up on Thursday morning and took off for a day at the pool in the in hot SUN!! 105 degrees. We floated around the lazy river (a huge hit) for most of the day. The kids were not quite tall enough for the Wave Pool this year. Home for a nap with exhausted children and headed out for a quick dinner at Bayside Buffet. The highlight of our trip with taking the girls to a show at the Mirage called "LOVE" which is the new Beatles Cirque du Soleil. Amazing!!! Thanks Traci and Lauren - Jesse and Mum had such a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next birthday bash.
